Preparation for the measurement:
How to measure the Plantation Shutters for fitting inside the window frame:
- Always use the measurement tape.
- Write down the width and the drop (height) after the measurement, make sure that you do not reverse the width and drop since it will cause a big problem if you do so.
- D’AZUR requires all measurements to be in meters or millimeters.
How to measure the Plantation Shutters for fitting inside the window frame:
- Measure the width in three places, Top, Middle and Bottom of the window. Measure from the inside opening edge of the recess to the opposite edge. Use the smallest of the three measurements.
- Measure the drop in three places, Left, Middle and Right of the window. Measure from the top of the opening of the inside recess to the bottom of the inside sill. Use the smallest of the three measurements.
- How to measure the window for blinds (outside mount):
- Measure the width from one edge of the window to the opposite edge of the window.
- Measure the drop from the top of the window to where you want the blinds cover. We strongly recommend measuring minimum 10mm above the floor and 50-100mm below the window.
- D’AZUR recommends for you to measure past the edge of the window in order to have more privacy and better light control. The distance to add into the edge is optional to suit your needs, but we recommend adding at least 60mm in order to have more privacy and better light control. Make sure there are not any physical barriers.
- How to measure the window for blinds (inside mount):
- Measure the width from the inside of the window from left to the right. Make sure to measure the top of the reveal and not the bottom of the window.
- Measure the drop from the top of the inside sill to the bottom of the inside sill.
- Depth requirement: Different blinds will require a different depth. For instance, the vertical blinds need the 135mm depth to fit in the 127 slat. For further information about the depth of your window, feel free to contact D’AZUR at 1300 788 139.
